Statement jeans are definitely having a moment, and I don't want it to go away!

Once considered a basic staple of your wardrobe the modest jean has had a revamp. From raw hems and distressing to embroidery and embellishment, the options are endless!

So when I was sent these statement flame jeans by One Above Another I was over the moon! One above Another are a streetwear brand, based in Birmingham, that sell unique, badass and over the top garments. If you haven't heard of them I strongly suggest you check them out. Their collections are full of vinyl fabrics, sequins, oversized shapes and distressed denims, basically they're right up my street. So if your like me and love your statement, eye catching pieces it's definitely the brand for you.

JULY'S FAVOURITES

I cannot believe that July is over already, where has this year gone!?

So this is the first of my monthly series, something I've been meaning to do for a while now. At the end of each month I'll be sharing with you the products I love and have been using the most over the last four weeks.

Here is July's favourites...

90s GRUNGE REVIVAL

DRESS & TIGHTS // BOOHOO
GLASSES, CHOKER &BAG // PRIMARK
SHOES // ROSEG (AMAZON)
DENIM JACKET // CHARITY SHOP

One of the biggest fashion comebacks over the past few years has to be the 90s grunge revival and it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. From vintage band tees and oversized plaid shirts to chokers and combat boots, it's ALL back and I love it!

IDGAF

SWEATER // MISSGUIDED (VIA DEPOP)
BOOTS // DR. MARTENS
TIGHTS & CHOKER // BOOHOO
SUNGLASSES // SNOOPERS PARADISE
SHORTS, BELT & BRALET // PRIMARK

If you follow my blog you will know I'm a big fan of repurposing and buying preloved clothing from places like eBay, charity shops and vintage stores. I believe that everyone should practice at least one form of sustainable fashion whether it's through donating and recycling or buying items second hand.

A great way to buy and sell your clothes is through apps like depop, they are so useful particularly if your not a fan of rummaging through endless rails! If you don't know what depop is it's basically an app where you can buy and sell items, similar to ebay but focused more towards fashion. It's become one of my go to places to find rare, vintage and discontinued products.

My most recent depop find is this Missguided graphic sweater and I LOVE it! From the bold Thrasher inspired font to the oversized fit it was perfect and at £10 I just had to get it!

For the rest of the look I decided to only use black and yellow tones. By keeping the colour palette simple it gives the overall look a strong visual impact.

VINTAGE DAZE

SWEATER // PRIMARK
LEATHER JACKET // DOLLY MIX VINTAGE
JEANS // ZARA
SANDALS // TOPSHOP
BELT + SUNGLASSES // PRIMARK

I do love a good vintage find, there is nothing quite like the feeling of discovering a beautiful and unique vintage piece, even more so when it's in your size! Yet I know that quite a few people are a bit dubious about shopping vintage and I'm not gonna lie it can take a lot of effort to find something that you like, that fits and is still in a wearable condition. But isn't the hunt what it's all about? and besides I find the rewards greatly outweigh the negatives.
