Summer is coming to a close and we are finally approaching my all time favourite season. From cozy evenings and toasted marshmallows to halloween and everything pumpkin spiced, what's not to love!

I've been longing for autumn for over a month now, it didn't take me long to get over summer! I love it when I start to see all the new season styles in the shops. Autumn, in my opinion, is by far the best season to dress for. I get so inspired! So inspired that I have already put together a number of outfits from my existing wardrobe, transitioning and repurposing a lot of my summer stuff for the upcoming season.

So here are a few flat lays of some of my favourite outfits I'm looking forward to wearing this month.

JACKET - THE RAGGED PREIST
JUMPER - NEW LOOK
JEANS - PRIMARK
SUNGLASSES - EBAY
BOOTS - DR MARTEN

It's finally jumper season! I have so much knitwear it's ridiculous but it's my favourite type of clothing. This cropped jumper is perfect for the start of autumn when it's not too cold. I've paired it with these high waisted mom jeans, a denim jacket incase it gets a bit chilly and my favourite pair of Docs. I've thrown in a pair of sunglasses with this look too as you never know what the weather is going to do!

SKIRT, BELT & JUMPER - PRIMARK
BERET - AMAZON
SOCKS - H&M
BOOTS - DR MARTENS

A great way to repurpose you summer skirts for the colder months is with a pair of chunky boots and some oversized knitwear. When it gets colder just chuck a pair of wooly tights and your good to go, I love to wear skirts in autumn and winter. I have a belt to cinch me in, this works really well with oversized garments and gives you a bit more of a shape. I finished off this look with these awesome slogan socks and my favourite beret.

JEANS - ONE ABOVE ANOTHER
CROP TOP, HAT, FISHNETS & CHOKER - PRIMARK
BAG - THRIFTED
TRAINERS - EBAY

When I was rummaging through my wardrobe I came across these flame jeans I got last year and I'd forgotten just how much I loved them, I had to create an outfit with them! I wanted to keep this look simple focussing on the flame detailing. So I paired the jeans with a plain black crop top, my platform trainers, a black beanie and a faux leather clutch bag. I think beanies and hats in general are one of the best and most useful accessories when it comes to autumn and winter. I will always keep a hat in my bag just in case it gets cold. You loose most of your body heat from your head, so having a hat to hand is a great idea if you hate being cold as much as I do!

SKIRT, TOP & BELT - PRIMARK
HAT - DEPOP (ORIGINALLY ASOS)
SUNGLASSES - EBAY
BOOTS - DR MARTENS

This outfit is for a warmer autumn day, but again can easily be adjusted to colder weather with a pair of thick tights. This is such a cute outfit and a lot more girly than I would normally go. The best thing about this is that the skirt and top are made from a stretchy fabric so it's dead comfy to wear! As both of these items are quite plain I've added a belt with a detailed buckle to make it stand out a bit more. I've then added this gorgeous wide brimmed hat I got recently, a pair of sunnies and of course my chunky pair of Dr Martens. I love how much edgier an outfit looks just by adding a pair of Dr Marten boots.

PVC TROUSERS - PULL & BEAR
T-SHIRT - PULP
BODYSUIT - BOOHOO
CHOKER - NAOMI SHU
TRAINERS & SUNGLASSES - EBAY
BANDANNA - NEW LOOK

YES! I finally get to bring out my PVC trousers again, they are just way too hot for the summer. This outfit is all about layers, so under my trousers and t-shirt I'm placing a mesh bodysuit. This makes the outfit a lot more interesting, it also allows me to wear my short sleeved t-shirts without being too cold. Again I've added my platform trainers, a pair of red sunnies to bring out the colours in the t-shirt, a choker and a bandanna to wear around my head.

I love to create flat lays and put outfits together I find it really helpful as it makes you actually look at what clothes you do have and gives you an opportunity to see what works with what. It's also a useful way to see what gaps you have in your wardrobe and what items you might need to buy for the rest of the season, so your not buying things you don't need.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
