Do you ever struggle with motivation? Because I know I do!
So recently I've got into a bit of a slump where even the smallest of tasks seems like a mission. I hate it when I get like this but keeping on top of my blog and everything else that comes with it along side working full time and attempting to adult can get a bit too much. Sometimes you just need to give yourself a break.
In the past if I didn't post every week on my blog or everyday on Instagram I would feel guilty and beat myself up about it. But now I've learnt not to put so much pressure on myself because it just doesn't work and produces more stress than productivity.
Don't get me wrong I love blogging and have so many ideas of what I want to do and where I want to go with it all. It's just a matter of actually doing it! I'm more of a thinker than a doer and that's my problem, I overthink things to point where I convince myself to not do it!
So I've unintentionally stepped back from it all for a week or two just to give myself a break. I'm off work for two weeks soon so I'm really excited to produce some content in my free time. I'm hoping this break from blogging and work will help me find my motivation again!
In the mean time here's a few photos from a look we shot a little while ago in Nottingham.
How do you motivate yourself? I could do with a few tips right now! Let me know in the comment below.

Hi Amy, I can really relate to you. I have so many ideas, and not enough time to do them all in. I think I am more of a thinker than a doer too - hard to admit to myself. I have found that over the last few months, I have been being nicer to myself - and letting myself have days off the blog to watch TV or go shopping :)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to live in a society that expects so much from us (particularly women), especially when we also expect a lot from ourselves (I do for sure). I have found it helps to go for a 10 minute walk, listen to your favourite tunes, dance a little, doing some stretching or even just making yourself a cuppa helps a lot.
Don't be so hard on yourself. I will be soon joining you with creating fashion content, so hopefully we will be able to motivate each other.
Keep up the good work.
