Today I'm bringing you two more NYE inspired looks. This time with a bit of colour (shock horror!). Whilst I love an all black look I am gradually bringing back some statement colour pieces into my wardrobe with a little help from the brand One Above Another.

Last week I was kindly sent a few items to style from the brand and I thought they would be perfect for a NYE look. They have some amazing statement pieces on their site so if you love your clothes to sparkle and shine then you've come to the right place.

Have a look below to see how I've styled some of these awesome pieces...

LOOK ONE

KIMONO - ONE ABOVE ANOTHER *
BODYSUIT - BOOHOO (similar)
TROUSERS - PRIMARK
NECKALCE - DESIDERATUM UK *

How insane is this kimono!? Joseph eat your heart out because this sequin number beats your technicolour dream coat by a mile!

This full length sheer kimono is absolutely covered in sequins. But not just any plain, old, sequins,  it's full of those extremely satisfying ones that change colour at the swipe of your hand. Is it just me or is there something calming and therapeutic about flipping those sequins back and forth?!

I feel like a 70s glam rock goddess in this kimono it's giving me major David Bowie and Marc Bolan vibes. What more could you want in an outfit?

As the kimono is so extravagant and extra I wanted to keep the rest of the look pretty minimal but still in keeping with that 70s glam rock style. When it comes to glam rock fashion it's all about extremes. Whilst I've kept the rest of the colour palette in this outfit pretty simple I've gone for more extreme cuts of clothing to keep that glam rock feel. From a plunging bodysuit to high waisted, skin tight trousers, you can still keep it interesting despite how minimal it is.

To finish off this look I added a few necklaces, one choker and another longer one to fill up the space created by the plunging neckline. And finally, not forgetting, a massive pair of platform boots, is there any other way to finish off a 70s glam rock outfit? They practically defined the era.

I absolutely love this look, at first I was a bit unsure when putting it together as it has been quite a while since I've incorporated other colours into my outfits. But I'm glad I did, it's made me a lot more confident and comfortable with colour.

It's the perfect outfit for NYE, can you imagine all of those sequins under the spot lights? This kimono will definitely catch peoples eyes and attention.

LOOK TWO

BODYSUIT - BOOHOO
JACKET & CHOKER - PRIMARK
BAG & HARNESS - EBAY
BOOTS - DR MARTENS

From 70s glam rocker to 90s babe. This NYE look is for people who like to keep it more casual and comfortable. This 90s inspired outfit is a lot less formal and a bit more playful and younger feeling than my previous look.

When I saw this dress it really took me back to my Spice Girl obsessed years. From the cut to the colours this dress screams the 90s. Over the last few years there has been a major resurgence of 90s fashion, which I am personally loving because I was just a bit too young to wear the fashion the first time around!

I decided to style this dress with a mesh bodysuit and a pair of tights underneath. This was mostly to give the outfit a bit of warmth but we all know that layering items under a dress, or anything for that matter, was a massive 90s trend.

I then used some accessories to give the outfit a bit more of a modern edge. I love these cross body bumbags they've been a major trend this year. They're definitely an improvement on the classic bumbag. They look a lot cooler, especially this one with the chain detailing but they are also really practical. It's a great option for going out in especially if you hate having to carry a bag around all night, you'll never forget it or loose it thats for sure!

To finish off this look and tie it altogether I added a leg harness, tattoo choker, faux leather jacket and a pair of Dr Martens. The silver accents on the accessories really pulls everything together, giving the overall outfit a cohesive 90s inspired vibe.

This look is so different from the first one, its a lot more practical but is still a great outfit for a night out.

I hope you liked these outfits and found some inspiration for NYE. I had fun creating these look, it's really pushed me to play with colours more, it's been refreshing. Bring on 2019!
