'PEOPLE ARE POISON' T-SHIRT - THE RAGGED PRIEST from CHARLY MOON*
'HELL HOUND' JACKET - THE RAGGED PRIEST from CHARLY MOON
FISHNETS & BACKPACK - PRIMARK
LEG HARNESS & SUNGLASSES - EBAY

Its that time of year again, festival season is just around the corner and I'm so excited!

Later on this week I'm heading to Download festival, so over the past few days I've been rummaging through my wardrobe putting together some festival worthy outfits.

The key to festival fashion is finding the right balance between style and practicality. First, and most importantly, your going to need some comfy and preferably water proof footwear. Your gonna be in a muddy field on your feet for most of the weekend and I couldn't think of anything worse than standing all day in a pair of uncomfortable, soggy shoes, it's not ideal.

The other important thing to remember when putting together a festival look is layers. We're in England so you never know what the weather is going to do! You need to be prepared for all eventualities. Personally I like outfits that are versatile and easy to adapt so you don't have to head back to your tent and change every time the weather does!

I've come up with three different looks for Download but this one has to be my favourite by far.

I was recently sent these awesome Ragged Priest pieces from Charly Moon. Charly Moon is a great site, especially for festival wear. They sell brands such as Illustrated People, The Ragged Priest, Motel Rocks and Indyanna, all perfect for the festival season. As soon as I received these pieces I knew I wanted to take them to Download, the question now was how should I style them?

I ended up wearing the oversized 'People are Poison' t-shirt as a dress. I love how baggy and comfy this tee is and it just looks so rad! It works perfectly with the Hell Hound denim jacket, also by The Ragged Priest.

Underneath the t-shirt I'm wearing a turtle neck as I love my high necklines but it will also keep me warm when it gets a bit chilly. I'm also wearing a pair of cycling shorts, I don't know why I haven't worn them before but they are an absolute godsend! Their elasticated waist band make them so comfy and I don't have to worry about my t-shirt riding up or needing to be constantly pulled down to save my modesty.

I then chucked on a pair of fishnets as they make everything look ten times cooler and put on my trusty pair of Dr Martens. If you read this blog or follow me on Instagram you will know that I've been having a moment recently with leg harnesses and I couldn't let this outfit go without one!

I finished the look off with a pair of red sunnies and my favourite red backpack. This backpack is just the right size for all the essentials I'm going to be needing in the arena such as suncream (need to keep that goth skin pale!), hand sanitiser, a beanie and even a pair of leggings that I can chuck on if it gets too cold.

I love festival fashion it's so fun and expressive and I can't wait to see what everyone else is wearing! Also if your there on the Thursday then head to the Doghouse Tent where my bfs band Cabin Boy Jumped Ship will be playing from 6pm. Hope to see you guys there!
