Okay, so I was going to bring you guys an outfit post this week, but lets face it, it is way to cold in the UK right now to even think about going outside. And besides it wouldn't be much of an outfit more like Joey in that episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S when he wears all of Chandler's clothes!

So I thought it might be interesting to share with you the products that I am currently using in my everyday make up routine.

The first thing I always start with after cleansing and toning my face is moisturiser. I never skip this step. I have combination skin so I have an oily T-zone but I can get quite a few dry patches every now and then, particularly under my eyes, moisturising keeps this under control. I am currently using Aveeno Moisturising Cream for dry and sensitive skin. I love this stuff it's not too greasy or heavy so it absorbs really quickly, also a little goes a long way and at £7.49 it's so affordable!!

PRIMER

Next I prime my face with Soap and Glory's One Heck Of A Blot Instant-Perfecting Power Primer (what a mouthful!). This is pretty new to my routine as I've previously used Kat Von D Lock-It Hydrating Face Primer. I decided to look for a new primer as it can get quite expensive using the Kat Von D one everyday. I'm pretty happy with this Soap ad Glory primer though as it provides a really smooth, almost flawless base for my foundation. The texture is a lot more silicone like than the Lock-It primer but it works just as well with the foundation I use. Also the cost is pretty much half the price of the Kat Von D primer at £11.

Once my face is all prepped I can now apply my foundation. I am using the Kat Von D Lock-it Liquid Foundation in the shade Light 45. I've been using the Kat Von D foundation for about two years now, it's just so good! It's full coverage, cruelty free formula lasts all day and gives a really nice velvet finish. I apply this with either a damp beauty blender or a flat foundation brush.

When it comes to concealer I use it more as a highlighter and to carve out my brows rather than to conceal blemishes as I find my foundation covers these pretty well. I normally use a more high end concealer as I don't really get on with drugstore ones, the consistency is always too thin. However, since Makeup Revolution released their Conceal and Define concealer, a dupe of Tarte's Shape Tape, I have changed my mind. This concealer has such a thick consistency and is so pigmented which is really rare for a drugstore brand, they also have such a large range of shades. I can't believe how cheap this product is for what it does, at £4 it's a steal! I use the lightest shade C1.

To keep all the cream products I've just used in place for longer I use a translucent setting powder. I'm currently using the Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot Powder. I just give my face a light dusting with a big, fluffy powder brush paying particular attention to my t-zone. So that's pretty much my base done, if I can be bothered and have the time I might contour a bit on my cheekbones.

I usually do my eyebrows in between my foundation and concealer, this way I can define them with the concealer before I set all of my face with powder. I'm always trying new brow products but I find the quickest way to do them is with the NYX Eyebrow Powder Pencil, I use the shade black as I love a strong brow. What I like about this product though is the spoolie on the end it really helps blend the product to give a softer look, also it saves me a lot of time looking for a separate spoolie as I am forever loosing them!

EYESHADOW

I like to keep my eyeshadow simple for an everyday look, nothing too dramatic. My go to eyeshadows are in the Kat Von D Shade and Light Eye palette. I love this palette it has a large variety of neutrals and nudes that can be used to create a subtle day makeup look. They blend effortlessly and are so pigmented, it's a good palette to have in your collection. My favourite shades have to be Lazarus, Succubus and Lucius.

EYELINER

For years my go to liner was the MAC Fluidline Gel Liner, but at christmas that all changed. I received the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner as a present and haven't turned back since! I love this stuff it is so easy and quick to use, with it's felt tip like brush it glides easily across the eye creating the perfect wing. It lasts all day and has no transfer.

MASCARA

I don't really have a go to mascara I just use what I can get hold of at the time. At the moment I'm using the Rimmel London Extra Long Lash mascara. I really like how long this product makes my eyelashes, it's very light and doesn't clump up my lashes giving it a more natural feel.

SETTING SPRAY

Finally I finish off with a spritz of setting spray. This helps my makeup stay in place for longer and takes away the powdery texture caused by my setting powder.

And that's my everyday routine. It may seem like a lot of makeup to some people but I enjoy putting it on, it gives me time to contemplate in the morning whilst nursing a cup of tea. I would say it takes me around 15-20 mins to do this makeup depending on whether my eyebrows want to cooperate! If I'm in a rush I'll just use some concealer, do my brows and chuck on some mascara.

Thanks for reading this, it's  a little different for me so I hope you all enjoyed it!

How long does it take to do your makeup? Are there any products you like to use everyday?
