WHAT I'M WEARING

JUMPER - PRIMARK
TROUSERS - ZARA (similar)
BOOTS - LAMODA
BAG & CHOKER - PRIMARK
BEANIE - DIY

For this weeks look I've gone back to basics, no layering, just a simple two piece outfit. Now don't get me wrong I love to layer and play with statement pieces but sometimes you just need a simple go to outfit, something thats super easy and quick to put together.

THINK MINIMAL

When creating this look I took inspiration from Scandinavian fashion. If your a fan of the clean, minimal look then you will love Scandi style. It's so effortlessly chic and sophisticated yet still casual enough to wear in the day.

To achieve the minimalist aesthetic you really need to focus on structure and the silhouette that your garments make. Focusing on this will elevate a basic look as there are no busy patterns or statement items to rely on to give your outfit impact. It's all in the clean lines and juxtaposing shapes.

The best thing about this way of dressing though is that it completely streamlines your figure making you appear taller and more slender then you really are.

THE LOOK

I began this look with my favourite pair of cigarette trousers, this style of trouser is a great staple to have in your wardrobe they are so flattering on all body shapes, as long as you get the right fit. What I love about these ones though is the vertical white stripe that runs down the side of each leg. These stripes act like an illusion, elongating my legs. I continued this illusion by putting on some big chunky heels, giving me legs for days!

As my trousers were tailored and slim fitting I wanted an oversized top to give a bit of dimension to my silhouette. I went for this drop shoulder jumper I found in Primark a while back. Its oversized fit and distressed hem make the entire outfit a lot more casual and effortless. I then finished off this look with a few basic accessories.

I really enjoyed creating this outfit. It's so comfy and easy to put together but definitely doesn't compromise on style, it has the perfect balance for a go to look.
