MY TOP TIPS FOR CHARITY SHOPPING

I love shopping in charity shops, Its where I find a lot of my clothes. I think its an affordable, economical and fun way to shop, there's a kind of thrill finding a beautiful item hidden away that no one else has discovered.

Now some people will dismiss going in charity shops straight away, refusing to wear old, worn and musty smelling clothes! This is such a misjudgment! There are so many unworn clothes with the labels still intact that people never got round to wearing, for a fraction of the original price! I find that this is quite common due to the fast fashion we see nowadays.

There are also lots of vintage items and even one off pieces that people have made. This is perfect if you are looking for something original and a little bit different from the high street. After all it's always better to stand out than blend in!

VELVET DEPRAVITY

DRESS - CHARITY SHOP     KIMONO - RIVER ISLAND     BOOTS- LAMODA

Sorry I haven't posted for a while trying to get used to this whole blogging on a regular basis thing!

So I was looking through the charity shops the other day and came across this great little velvet babydoll dress! It was just the right size and an absolute steal at £4.99!

I love shopping in charity shops, I think it's a great and economical way to find unique, quirky and vintage clothing. It's also guilt free shopping as it is so cheap and going to a good cause. I shall be writing a post all about charity shopping soon as I find a lot of my clothes in them and think that everyone should give it a try, you never know what hidden gems you may find!

I paired my new dress with this gorgeous kimono I got from River Island a few years back, it's a great statement piece and can be worn with so many different things!

I finished off this look with Salvation Velvet Lacquer by Revolution makeup in the shade 'Velvet Depravity', this brings it all together mimicking the colours of the kimono.
