If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I have recently taken up skateboarding.
It's something that I've always wanted to be able to do but I could never seem to stand on one without falling off, let alone ride one!

But with a bit of persuasion and encouragement from my boyfriend, Jay, I decided this summer would be as good a time as any to start learning.


 After using Jay's skateboard for a week he surprised me after work one day with my very own! He got me this entire set up for £65 from our local shop, MILK SKATESHOP. Rob, the owner, also changed the grip tape for me from black to pink for a fiver. My board is now extremely bright and dead girly, I love it!

So it's been a few weeks now since Jay started to teach me how to skate and considering my lack of balance I'm pretty happy with what I have achieved so far. It might not seem much to some but if you knew how uncoordinated and clumsy I am you would definitely understand!
