HALLOWEEN - SKELETON LOOK

It wouldn't be halloween if I didn't do a skeleton look now would it?!

Over the past few years I've created a number of skull looks. I love to do them, they're really fun, easy to do and oh so creepy! The perfect halloween look!

WEDNESDAY ADDAMS

"THIS IS MY COSTUME, I'M A HOMICIDAL MANIAC.
THEY LOOK LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE"

I know, it's been done before a thousand times over but I couldn't resist doing a Wednesday Addams look this halloween.

There's a reason as to why so many people want to dress up as Wednesday, whether it's for halloween or cosplay. She is such an iconic character with an unforgettable look and she's oh so relatable!

PUMPKIN PATCH OOTD

WHAT I'M WEARING

SKIRT & BELT - PRIMARK
HAT - DEPOP (ORIGINALLY ASOS)
NECKLACE - DESIDERATUM UK
BOOTS - DR MARTENS
LEG HARNESS - EBAY

I love autumn and what better way to spend it than to go pumpkin picking!?

I've wanted to do a shoot in a pumpkin patch for quite a while now, and this year I've finally got around to doing it. We ended up going to Cattows Farm which is based in the village of Heather in Leicestershire. Other than being able to pick your own pumpkins, which are such great value, there is also a really cute farm shop and tea room full of fresh produce. It's a really nice day out, I would highly recommend it.

Now onto the look...

BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE!

"I, MYSELF, AM STRANGE AND UNUSUAL"

October is finally here! My halloween content has begun!
And what better place to start than with a Tim Burton classic.

SKIRT - PRIMARK
T-SHIRT - THRIFTED
JACKET - THE RAGGED PRIEST
BOOTS - DR. MARTENS
SOCKS - H&M
BANDANNA - NEW LOOK

Plaid is definitely having a moment right now, it it EVERYWHERE! And I can see why, it's a classic print full of versatility, It's no wonder that it keeps on making a comeback year in, year out.
For me plaid and autumn go hand in hand, they're the perfect combination. So whether you go for a bold, colourful tartan this season or more of a neutral plaid you really can't go wrong!

# HAULTERNATIVE

This week I'm bringing you my very first haulternative. If your not sure what a haulternative is it's basically a twist on a traditional clothing haul when instead of everything being new it's all second hand or up cycled items you already own.

If you follow my outfit posts you'll know that I love to thrift. So many items I've worn on this blog have been found in charity shops. It really is amazing what you can find second hand.

TRANSITIONING INTO AUTUMN

WHAT I'M WEARING

HAT - DEPOP
TOP - NEW LOOK
SHIRT - THRIFTED
JEANS - TU CLOTHING
BOOTS - DR MARTENS
CROSS NECKLACE - EBAY
TIGHTS, CHOKER & RINGS - PRIMARK
DAGGER NECKLACE - CARTERGORE

You might be able to tell from my previous post that I'm just a little bit eager to get into autumn. It's the best season in my opinion. But as we move into a new season there is always this weird transition period, which can be pretty unpredictable. It's frustrating not knowing what to wear, so this week I'm showing you how I gradually move into the season with my current wardrobe.

5 ALTERNATIVE OUTFIT IDEAS FOR AUTUMN

Summer is coming to a close and we are finally approaching my all time favourite season. From cozy evenings and toasted marshmallows to halloween and everything pumpkin spiced, what's not to love!

I've been longing for autumn for over a month now, it didn't take me long to get over summer! I love it when I start to see all the new season styles in the shops. Autumn, in my opinion, is by far the best season to dress for. I get so inspired! So inspired that I have already put together a number of outfits from my existing wardrobe, transitioning and repurposing a lot of my summer stuff for the upcoming season.

So here are a few flat lays of some of my favourite outfits I'm looking forward to wearing this month.

FINDING MY MOTIVATION

WHAT I'M WEARING

SHIRT DRESS - PRIMARK
BELT - PRIMARK
BERET - AMAZON
BOOTS - LA MODA
GLASSES - EBAY

Do you ever struggle with motivation? Because I know I do!
So recently I've got into a bit of a slump where even the smallest of tasks seems like a mission. I hate it when I get like this but keeping on top of my blog and everything else that comes with it along side working full time and attempting to adult can get a bit too much. Sometimes you just need to give yourself a break.

OOTD: YELLOW TARTAN SKIRT

WHAT I'M WEARING

NECKLACE - DESIDERATUM UK
SKIRT & SUNGLASSES - PRIMARK
BOOTS - LA MODA
TOP - ZARA

As much as I love entirely black looks sometimes you just have to break the mould and step away from your usual aesthetic as it can get pretty boring and uninspiring.

OOTD: 90s INSPIRED LOOK

WHAT I'M WEARING

NECKLACE - DESIDERATUM UK
EARRINGS - DESIDERATUM UK
SHEER SHIRT - THRIFTED
CROP TOP - THRIFTED
SKIRT & SOCKS - PRIMARK
BOOTS - NAOMI SHU

WOW, Another scorcher this week here in England. It is so unusual for it to be this sunny and for this long in the UK, I'm used to summer only lasting for a few days! I'm starting to struggle with what to wear. I'm not used to dressing for the heat for this amount of time, and I'm running out of outfit ideas!

WEARING BLACK IN THE SUMMER

WHAT I'M WEARING

JUMPER - H&M
CHOKER - NAOMI SHU
SHORTS - DIY THRIFTED
LEG HARNESS - EBAY
PLATFORM TRAINERS - EBAY
SUNGLASSES - EBAY

Summer is well and truly here. But, if your like me and love your black on black looks it can be a bit of a problem. Black clothing absorbs heat, so it can get pretty damn hot wearing black in the summer. Unfortunately avoiding this colour during the hotter months is not an option for me as it pretty much rules out my entire wardrobe, which lets face it is not practical or affordable.

Just because it's summer doesn't mean you can't live your best goth life! Armed with the right type of clothing and a bottle of factor 50 you'll be ready to face the heat!

MY TOP TIPS FOR CREATING A DOUBLE DENIM LOOK

WHAT I'M WEARING

'HELL HOUND' JACKET - THE RAGGED PRIEST from CHARLY MOON *
TURTLE NECK CROP - THRIFTED
LEG HARNESS & CROSS NECKLACE - EBAY
DAGGER NECKLACE - CARTER GORE *
JEANS & BELT - PRIMARK
MESH BODYSUIT - BOOHOO

Denim is a staple in most peoples wardrobe whether its a pair of jeans, a skirt, a jacket or a shirt. It's a classic fabric that never goes out of trend. Denim is hardwearing, comfy, and extremely versatile, it's no wonder that its become a favourite in our everyday wear.

In this weeks look I'm going to show you how I wear double denim. YES, double denim! Often considered a fashion faux pas, but when done well double denim can look amazing and trust me once you've mastered it you'll never look back!

OOTD RECAP: MY FAVOURITE OOTD's SO FAR...

I had such a sick time at Download Festival a couple of weeks ago, it went way too quick! Since then it's taken me a while to get back into the swing of things as far as my blog goes. So I thought it would be pretty cool, as we're halfway through the year, to look back on my OOTD's so far.

FESTIVAL FASHION OOTD

WHAT I'M WEARING

'PEOPLE ARE POISON' T-SHIRT - THE RAGGED PRIEST from CHARLY MOON*
'HELL HOUND' JACKET - THE RAGGED PRIEST from CHARLY MOON
FISHNETS & BACKPACK - PRIMARK
LEG HARNESS & SUNGLASSES - EBAY

Its that time of year again, festival season is just around the corner and I'm so excited!

Later on this week I'm heading to Download festival, so over the past few days I've been rummaging through my wardrobe putting together some festival worthy outfits.

THRIFTED OOTD

WHAT I'M WEARING

DRESS - THRIFTED
SHIRT - THRIFTED
TRAINERS - EBAY
GLASSES & NECKLACE - EBAY

This weeks look is giving me goth spice realness and I am loving it!
But would you believe that most of this outfit was thrifted costing me the grand total of £6.38!

I love to thrift, charity shops are just the best! I'm not gonna lie it can be hard work sometimes as you have to visit them pretty often to find the hidden gems, but it is so worth it in the end! I would say about a third of my wardrobe has come from charity shops. It's ethical, affordable, guilt free shopping that is ultimately going to a good cause, whats not to like?

As the saying goes "one mans trash is another mans treasure"

MY TOP 10 ACCESSORIES

I love accessories they can completely transform an outfit. It is such an affordable way to revamp your wardrobe without having to buy any new clothes, perfect for when your on a budget. So I thought it would be interesting to show you all my favourite accessories at the moment and how I style them.

I've tried to choose my favourite pieces out of each category to show you how varied and diverse accessories can really be. The options really are endless!

So here are my top ten...

OOTD with NAOMI SHU

WHAT I'M WEARING

SHOES - NAOMI SHU *
JUMPER - PRIMARK
SKIRT - PRIMARK
LEG HARNESS - EBAY
BAG - THRIFTED

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a brand called Naomi Shu. If you haven't heard of them they are basically an online store that predominantly sells really edgy yet affordable shoes. I've been following them for quite a few years, so I was really excited when they approached me to do a collaboration. They ended up naming a shoe after me, well my blogger name, but how cool is that!? We all know I have a slight shoe obsession so it was the perfect collaboration.

IMPERICON FEST

WHAT I'M WEARING

T-SHIRT - IMPERICON FEST
PVC PANTS - PULL & BEAR
LEATHER JACKET - TOPSHOP (similar)
BANGLE - CARTERGORE
GARTER & GLASSES - EBAY

I haven't been posting as much as I usually do recently as I've had quite a lot going on in the past month. Some of you may or may not know that my boyfriend Jay is in a band called Cabin Boy Jumped Ship and I was lucky enough to be invited along to Vienna, Austria to film them perform at Impericon Festival!

If you haven't heard of Cabin Boy Jumped Ship, they're a four piece electronicore / metal band, go check them out here. They are currently working on their first album which should be released later on this year, so keep your eyes peeled, they also make some sick merch!

I had such an awesome time in Vienna and it was pretty cool to see Cabin Boy perform on such a big stage alongside bands such as Silverstein, Bury Tomorrow, Attila, We Came As Romans and many more. I was also so excited that I finally got a chance to see Silverstein live too, my inner 16 year old was screaming!

So overall Vienna was great, despite only being there for around 48 hours. I'll definitely have to go back and visit again as it was such a beautiful place.

I am so proud of Cabin Boy and what they have achieved as they've worked really hard to get to this point. They are also playing the 'Doghouse Stage' at Download Festival on the Thursday this year, so be sure to go and check them out if your going!

So without further ado here's the video from Impericon Fest...

Skinny Scrubs Lip Scrub Review

If your like me and love your matte liquid lipsticks, you will know that you need a good base for a smooth and consistent application. I find one of the best ways to do this is with a lip scrub as it exfoliates whilst moisturising at the same time. I think we sometimes forget that our lips need just as much attention as everything else when it comes to our skin care routine, especially if you wear lipstick day in, day out.

Last week I was sent a lip scrub to try out from a new independent brand called Skinny Scrubs. I'm always up for trying new beauty brands especially ones that are cruelty free and made from all natural products.

Skinny Scrubs launched with three classic flavours of lip scrub, vanilla, lemon and peppermint. However they have recently added two more rather unique flavours to their site that I personally haven't seen anywhere else before, geranium & frankincense and lemon & lavender. I'll definitely have to try these out at some point!

FIVE TIPS FOR TONAL DRESSING

WHAT I'M WEARING

TROUSERS - TU CLOTHING
TURTLE NECK TOP - PEACOCKS
JACKET - TOPSHOP (old)
BOOTS - LAMODA
BAG, GLASSES & BELT - PRIMARK
BERET - AMAZON
NECKLACE - CARTERGORE
RINGS - TU CLOTHING

I am living for full black outfits right now!
It's my favourite go to colour so why not wear it all at once?!

Now I know it's not everyones cup of tea dressing head to toe in black and a lot of people tend to avoid it, seeing it as a fashion faux pas. But it's really not the case and besides this look can essentially be recreated in any colour you want!

STEPPING OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

WHAT I'M WEARING

JUMPER - PRIMARK
SKIRT - TU CLOTHING
BOOTS - DR MARTEN X LAZY OAF
BAG, GLASSES, CHOKER - PRIMARK

I don't shy away from many things when it comes to clothing, fur coats ✓ PVC pants ✓ crazy hats ✓ but the one thing I've always struggled with is skirts. Don't get me wrong I love them ... but on other people. I'm like Goldilocks when it comes to skirts they're either way too short or way too long and when I do find one with a perfect fit I never know how to style it!

GROWN UP GRUNGE

WHAT I'M WEARING

T-SHIRT - PRIMARK
JACKET - THRIFTED
TROUSERS - PULL & BEAR
SHOES - LAMODA
HAT, BELT, BAG - PRIMARK
GLASSES - EBAY
BANGLE - CARTERGORE

THEY'RE BACK!! Yes, I couldn't resist bringing back the PVC trousers, I am just obsessed!
Anyway, putting aside my current vinyl obsession, in this weeks look I am showing you how I do grown up grunge...

Grown up grunge is an odd term as grunge is something you usually associate with youth and angst. But it has evolved so much throughout the years gaining popularity, particularly within the fashion world. Ironically grunge started as an anti-fashion 'movement' but it's more mainstream now than ever!

MY EVERYDAY MAKEUP ROUTINE

Okay, so I was going to bring you guys an outfit post this week, but lets face it, it is way to cold in the UK right now to even think about going outside. And besides it wouldn't be much of an outfit more like Joey in that episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S when he wears all of Chandler's clothes!

So I thought it might be interesting to share with you the products that I am currently using in my everyday make up routine.

Kiss From A Rose

What I am wearing:
Cher t-shirt - H&M
   Velvet Shirt - Thrifted
Ring Beret - Amazon
Jeans - TU Clothing
Grey wool coat - Zara (similar)

I love to go out and explore new places, but over the past few months it's just been way to cold and dreary to find the motivation to even leave the flat! So earlier on this week we decided to make a visit to Wollaton Hall Garden and Deer Park. It is such a beautiful place with gorgeous architecture and gardens, I'm glad we actually got out and did something! My favourite part of this 500 acre park though definitely has to be the cast iron glasshouse, it is stunning and would be even more so in the Summer when everything is in bloom, I'll have to come back again! It was such a beautiful place that we couldn't resist taking a few images, also the lighting was just perfect!

OOTD with NICCE LONDON

WHAT I'M WEARING

HOODIE - NICCE
TIGHTS & BAG - PRIMARK
BOOTS - DR MARTEN
JACKET - THRIFTED
BERET - AMAZON
JEANS - BOOHOO

How is it still winter!? It has been so cold recently it feels like it's never ending!
As you can tell winter is by far my least favourite season, I get cold way too easily. Over the last few months I've been trying to keep warm in the way that I dress, so for me hoodies have become a fashion staple. I love a good hoodie they are incredibly versatile and so easy to wear. Long gone are the days when they were associated with antisocial behaviour and slobs. From the runways to the high street, hoodies have had a major fashion overhaul and I am loving it!

So the clothing brand NICCE have recently released a new range of contemporary hoodies and sweatshirts and I was kindly sent one to style and create an outfit with. If you like the minimal vibe and want some quality staple pieces for your wardrobe then head over to their website where you can find this women's grey sweatshirt along with a range of other neutral coloured hoodies, sweaters and jumpers. These are great items to have in your wardrobe as they can be worn all year round. Their minimal designs and neutral colour palettes will fit effortlessly into your existing wardrobe. I believe that you should always have high quality staples as these are the pieces that you wear day in, day out. They are the building blocks of every outfit.

VALENTINE'S INSPIRED LOOK

WHAT I'M WEARING

T-SHIRT - BOOHOO
TROUSERS - PULL & BEAR
FAUX FUR COAT - H&M
SHOES - LAMODA
BERET - AMAZON

Valentine's day, the Marmite of commercial holidays, you either love it or hate it.
Personally I've never been one to celebrate valentine's but when is there ever a better excuse to dress up in red and create a valentine's inspired look!?

PVC Trousers

'LIFE IN PLASTIC IT'S FANTASTIC'

I have been obsessed with this vinyl / PVC trend for a while now. From trousers and skirts to shoes and bags, it is just everywhere and I love it! My collection is slowly growing, I have a couple of skirts and a few PVC accessories, but what I wanted the most was a pair of PVC trousers. They are just so chic and edgy, I had to have a pair!

MY LIPSTICK COLLECTION

I was recently sorting through my lipstick collection and was thinking it's been an age since I did a beauty post on here. I still have so many lipsticks, despite having a big clear out! So I thought why not swatch them all and review them along the way. Now without further ado here is my current lipstick collection...

BACK TO BASICS

WHAT I'M WEARING

JUMPER - PRIMARK
TROUSERS - ZARA (similar)
BOOTS - LAMODA
BAG & CHOKER - PRIMARK
BEANIE - DIY

For this weeks look I've gone back to basics, no layering, just a simple two piece outfit. Now don't get me wrong I love to layer and play with statement pieces but sometimes you just need a simple go to outfit, something thats super easy and quick to put together.

How I wear ... THE MONOCHROME TREND

WHAT I AM WEARING

COAT - ZARA (similar)
SHOES - LAMODA
HAT, BAG & HOODIE - PRIMARK
SUNGLASSES - EBAY
TROUSERS - CHARITY SHOP (similar)

Welcome to my first outfit post of 2018!
I have decided to start the new year off with a simple but classic monochromatic look.
I absolutely love the monochrome trend, there is just something so chic and timeless about it. There are a number of ways to achieve this sort of look, it's such a simple technique that gives your outfit a big impact without the use of a bold, statement piece. Everything you need to create a monochromatic look is probably already in your existing wardrobe.
